"Researchers have found that good readers are active or strategic readers who use a variety of comprehension strategies before, during, and after reading a text."~Perfection Learning Corporation

This website is intended to help students with their reading comprehension using a variety of strategies.  The website is broken down into two components of reading comprehension (visual and thinking).  Within each component, it has been broken down further into before, during, and after reading strategies. The website also provides students, parents, and teachers with a multitude of resources including articles on reading comprehension, interactive websites, and practice reading comprehension passages.

Along the top of the website, you can find the breakdown of reading comprehension along with the additional resources. Please use this website as a tool to help you, your child, or your students as they learn to read and as they progress as life long readers.

A key to creating life long readers, parents and other adults in their lives need to demonstrate reading for pleasure so they see that it can be fun and enjoyable when you chose the right book.
